Monday Mediterranean Marketing Tip!

Hi everyone! Here's you're #MondayMarketingTip for this week.

Wondering why I decided to remove all spaces between Monday, marketing and tip and why I stuck a "#" in front of the jammed words? Well that might mean that you've never been introduced or used Twitter. If that is the case, then this blog post may not be useful to you.

However, if you're a fellow "tweeter" then you may find this post helpful. Also, you should find and follow me and I will be more than happy to follow you back :)

Back to your #MondayMarketingTip.
When "tweeting", try to incorporate hashtags which are relevant to the subject that you are tweeting about.

For instance, if you are a graphic designer that is tweeting about their experience using PhotoShop CS5, they might want to include hashtags such as #GraphicDesign #PhotoShop #Creative #CS5 etc...

My tweets frequently revolve around marketing, therefore I try to include hashtags such as #Marketing #PR #SocialMedia #Blogging #Branding etc...

The purpose of incorporating hashtags is to allow your tweets to be included amongst the thread of other tweets which also include the same hashtags and therefore the same subject matter.

If you are a business owner, social media manager, entrepreneur, recruiter or any other professional, utilizing hashtags in your tweets is an excellent way to connect with and attract those in either your field or a field that you wish to become a part of in the future.

Sometimes hashtags are used to connect tweeters at a specific date and time to discuss a particular subject via tweeting with hashtags.

For instance, perhaps a group of Realtors want to discuss a new tax law that might affect homeowners, they would all agree to communicate with one another on Thursday August 2nd at 7:00 PM EST. Those interested in chatting with others in regards to this particular subject have agreed to use the hashtag "#SayNoTaxRI". Not only would those in the conversation be able to see the tweets associated with #SayNoTaxRI, but also everyone following those tweeting with #SayNoTaxRI would be able to click on the hashtag and either join in on the conversation or read and become educated on their subject.

Happy Tweeting!
