Tips to avoid "Social Media Overload"
Does your company already utilize social media in itsmarketing efforts? Or perhaps you’veonly considered integrating social media but have yet to “take the plunge.” (Don’t worry the water is great!)

Social media is an excellent way to market your brand andreach the masses. With the slew ofoptions to choose from, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. This can lead to social media marketing mayhem.
Consider the following for either your existing oranticipated social media campaign:
1. What type of audience am I trying to reach?
2. What message do I want to convey to myfollowers?
3. Would my brand better benefit from a more visualor written platform?
4. How much time do I have to invest in socialmedia?
5. Where are the majority of my clients located?(Local, national, international?)
These are just a few of the questions that can help youdecide which of the social media sites are right for your brand. For instance: if you are an interior designcompany, perhaps you could start out with a mix of Facebook, Twitter andPinterest in order to visually tell your companies story.
Every company does not have to utilize EVERY social media site. Decide what your objectives are and thenselect your platforms. Focusing your social media efforts on only a few sites will eliminates“social media overload” and will make management more effective and pleasurable.
